I am looking at some 1/16 kits, I am looking to build something I don't have in current models and just to try one... Would love an M18 hellcat in that size. Can't find one but could find an m10 tank destroyer.

I am looking for something highly detailed, correct so on. Not looking for a toy or anything full of inaccuratcies. The half-track with four fifty's is nice as well. I want or would prefer something with engine so on visable or where could display it as well.

Anyone have any thoughts on this or can recommend different ones that might fit the above??

I've built Trumpeter's 1/16 King Tiger and Panzer IV, both with full interiors. I also built Das Werk's 1/16 Stug III with partial interior.
All are quality kits that went together well, around 2,000 parts each on average.
I got threads on each one in the Armour section here on the forum.
That's all the 1/16 kits I've built so far, and I would recommend all of them for what's it worth.

Nice! Yeah I been looking at those but am thinking between the m10 tank destroyer, the m-atv mrap, the US half-track with the quad fifty setup. I don't own any German armor pretty much at same time though.

What's your favorite one out of those listed?

Also... If no German armor what would be the most essential out of those?

I would have to say the King Tiger is my favorite.
Check out Andy's Hobbies for 1/16 stuff, if you haven't already.

Yeah I'm just not into German armor enough to spend that on it. Think im narrowed down to a few now that are pretty good that don't cost a testical. Im thinking the m10 tank destroyer.

So... I went with the m10 greyhound as a start point, especially once I found out it's still in use out there. I also got some details stuff for it and am planning on making some as well. Figured a good entry point.

Yeah
Hmm, I guessing the armored car vs the tank destroyer? M10 designation hard to pin down.
I misspoke, the m8 greyhound. The m10 is the destroyer and I would prefer an M18 over even the ten. If never offered will probably go with the M18 in 1/35 made by Tamiya.

M10 designation hard to pin down.
This is because people often don't indicate what type of equipment they're talking about, when that is actually an integral part of the designation of American stuff. It's a 3-inch gun motor carriage M10, or an ammunition trailer M10, or an armored utility car M10 (very rapidly renamed to M20, though), and so on. If it's clear what's being referred to, the M-designation is usually enough, but "I want to build an M3 tank, which is a good kit?" will need elaboration.

I would love to see a 1/16 M-51 Super Sherman kit......
I always thought that's coolest looking tank ever. I researched alot when I built my diorama, but never saw the pic Jakko posted in your build thread before. Yes, great pic.....:)
