Using "gold" paint would be too bright for 88mm shells wouldn't it? Need more of a dull tarnished brass. Is there a good way to weather a pile of shells?

(thought ya'll might get a kick out of this bottle, paint is in excellent condition)

Add Yellow to it, this will give it less of a 'bling' look..

Personally, as someone who is also just getting started in painting 1/35 figures, I think your crew looks very nice - I'd be happy with that. They do look good in situ.

All looking very nice indeed including the figures. Just for info an equilibrator is a device to give the ordnance an equal balance or assist with the elevation given the weight forward of the trunnions.

Outstanding work all over. Looking at this it was a visual buffet. Then the picture with the crew in fighting positions really makes this eye candy
