Amk mi-17 HIP

So my next build will be this mi17 from amk in 1/48 scale with a few after market bits.
Looks to be nicely moulded with with good detail.my biggest problem will be where I'm gonna put it when it's finished,it's a fair old size lol.

Well I for one don;t mind.As long as I'm comfortable.

So a start has been made, some of the many blue parts have had some colour,they will need a gloss coat. Some detail painting on the bulkhead and floor to do. Have made a start on sanding the IP's flat for paint and adding the Eduard cockpit details. And one fire extinguisher painted.

So a little update, started getting things glued together, some sanding of the main IP's for the etch. I have encountered my first real issuethat being ,one seat was removed from the sprue to check the seat frames,today I wanted to get the seats painted so went to remove the second one from the sprue and...
Yep number 20 that's where it should be
Amk quality controller was having a sneaky cigarette out the back when my kit got bagged up!! Got some blue stuff mould bars coming so hopefully I can take a mould off the first seat and make one, fingers crossed or the pilots getting a deck chair lol.

That's a cracking looking interior - that's blooming annoying about that seat.

So ive managed to take a reasonable mold from the seat and got the missing one made,not perfect but time it's had some primer,paint and got a set of seatbelts it should be passable.
Passenger seats are fitted and interior painted , the cushions will be painted tan/brown.
