Don't give up on it Darkblade88, if you want to fill the seam, give it a good wash with some same water and dish soap. Let everything sit until your sure it's totally dry. Slightly rough up the surface to be filled. Then fill it in.

I know your frustration with the older Airfix kits. I built an Airfix DH. 88 Comet awhile back. It took a fairly big effort to finish it, but I'm really happy I stuck with it. Help my develop my modelling chops...

As a side note I've heard good things about the new Airfix releases.

I've just spoken to my dad and he was saying the old kits are really bad for mold release agent. I've heard the same sort of things JMac

The new Airfix releases are very good

DB ,Stick with it buddy ,as Jason says ,just make sure to rub down anywhere you are putting filler in .This doesnt just help it stick to the surface ,but will also help the filler feather in better around the edges

You're doing a great job here. No worries on the glue spill. I always end up with at least one.

Keep at it Darkblade, my glue spills are usually followed up with me leaving a thumb print in it. Just take your time.

Well I've got to will the gaps where i lost the two tabs on tail. So I'll give it a go but it seams like I'm cursed as far as planes with Hawker in the name. First the Hurri and now this one seams determined to drive to sanity. there seams to be obstacles cropping up every where. I'm not doing to let her win though.
