My attempt at the Cologne duel panther, with some artistic freedom added. It's the AirFix 1/76 kit with rubber tracks. The paint scheme and markings are way off I guess, but it was fun to build.
It's a scary clip btw, as filmed by US war reporters, when that Sherman first gets hit by the panther and that poor guy jumps out without a leg, dying shortly afterwards. Interesting also that according to the panther crew, they did not know about the existence of the Pershing tank, and were confused when one appeared in their sights. Screaming "achtung, that's one of ours", or similar. And I seem to recall the Pershing crew corroborated the panther crew's story partly, in that when they popped out of cover, intending to surprise the panther, they looked right into the barrel of it, because the experienced commander expected it. But perhaps the confusion of the German crew gave the Pershing's gunner the second he needed.
