So I'm still messing around with the engine, fitted some removal lifting brackets, turbo oil feed and return pipes, a dipstick, some alternator wires, and a few other pipes and hoses, more to add yet before trying to make a reasonable job of painting it all.20241116_211904.jpg20241116_212105.jpg20241116_211814.jpg20241116_211941.jpg20241116_211825.jpg20241116_212154.jpg

Those extra little details really make the engine look great. I like it. Pantherman

Really nice detail, right down to the oil dipstick!

Coming along a treat, like the colour.
Thanks. My usual problem with bodywork is the gloss coat always looks poor. I'm trying something different with this one as a bit of an experiment. I had some Windsor Newton gloss varnish which I am brushing on, it's a bit thick but if I thin it down a little it just doesn't really set and peels away if you handle it. The thick coat sets in 24+ hours and then final coat. The colour looks a bit hmmmmm..... but with the gold set of decals I'm hoping it matches nicely. Pantherman

My gloss was always a bit hit and miss when I was using vallejo, I use mr colour laquer or mrhobby aqueous now and get much better results, the gold sounds like a good combination
