Do you find cooking and scale modeling are similar?

Deep fried hot dogs? I'll pass.

All my cooking are healthy dinners. With that being said, I enjoy cooking because it decompresses me after a long day at work. Here's a small sample of some dinners (other than typical pasta sauce, meatloaf, etc...) I've cooked for my family:

Apple & Sage Pork chops
Chicken Marsala
Chicken Lombardi
New England Crispy Baked Haddock
Greek Lemon Garlic Haddock
Mediterranean Chicken kabobs
Brazilian Chicken kabobs
Garlic Butter Potato and Flank Steak Skillet

I hope you don't get a crappy , dry one .
Then you'll think you hate brisket -- nothing worse than dry-azz brisket .
It should melt in your mouth .

me neither ! :D :p

The thing is , I'd say that 7 out of 10 BBQ joints around here in the Houston area are crap .
There's a good spot near me but the guy is only open sporadically and sometimes the line is around the block .

That sucks.

Yeah, never looked into BBQ joints around here since I am not big on Barbeque stuff.

Gonna hafta look into it.

Does anyone like to cook and take time to plate their meals?

I find that the more I'm getting into this hobby, I like to make my meals look pleasing....or maybe it's because I want to model more daily?

Pics to follow.
Yes I do like to cook. 84 & started at 75. I studied architecture a long time ago. The first words from the Prof. where.

From now on anything you do you must consider in an artistic way. To make all that you do considered to make it attractive.

Even a plate sandwiches can be arranged attractively with garnish. Some times I add a mast of celery sticking up the middle.
Wife, naughty, always has a chuckle.

Same with models. I always like to show them in 8feet (2.4m) dioramas. To represent as much as possible their original setting.

This is a really wierd thread... but somehow very educational!

I catch my self thinking: "I'm glad I'm part of this community... from afar anyway"
