This build is for a humorous diorama , utilizing an unconventional crew , -- I needed a wider turret roof for the scene in my head ,,,
She's 2 Zvezda King Tiger kits fused together .
It's a Russian 122 mm gun , super-sized .
20 mm bow gun
W-18 engine with hydraulic drive system

I'll get some WIP photos of it to this stage posted shortly

A wider .. type build then..?
This bare iron look on the edges of ..Of course steel,, ??? How do...?

No , this one isn't for Huffinstrasse .
What bare iron look are you talking about ?

On the regular KT ?
I just remove the acrylic topcoat with alcohol to reveal the enamel base coat --- kinda the hairspray technique but without the hairspray .
I find it easier to control and it gives me more nuanced effects .
Still have to go back and modulate the surrounding color . ( usually )

Some in-progress pix ( big mess with these since I wasn't uploading anywhere ) ,
This is the 20 mm barrel for the bow gun

The turret construction , trunnion for the main gun ( using Aves ) , and some hull pix -- there's more hull construction photos , just need to sort thru them . ;)

Heh heh - I need to get back to it .
Restoring all the fastener detail is going to take some time .
I have a bunch of the brass and SS hex-heads for the job :

I do a something like that using a soft-ish scotch-bright pad.
First the steel color underneath, then color?, then light rubbing
with the scrub pad till I get desired effect!!

Yep -- just like real life .
I use a small swab wetted with isopropyl of varying concentration to rub off the top color .
