Enterprise Bridge-new layout-SMA BSC 2014

It's definitely better, Cave_Dweller.
But only if the parts fit flush. The Tamiya stuff also sets up a LOT faster

Started figure work in earnest.
Started by painting the legs of all the figures with the Vallejo dark grey primer, followed by the upper halves with the Vallejo grey primer

Blocked in the uniform shirt colors with some VERY old Ral Partha acrylics that I was able to revive with the Tamiya acrylic thinner.

Using those same acrylics, I mixed up the various flesh tones and hair colors for the figures.
For Uhura, I deliberately painted her legs a darker color to simulate the hose she was normally wearing.
Gave all figures a light black wash to bring out the detail in them a little better
Painted the insignia with craft silver, and the rank stripes in with gold.
That done, I gave them all a coat of Alclad matte finish.

Once the sealer coat was dry, I glued the figures and final chairs into place around the bridge.

Thank you both.
And, John ?
Only BIG issue with this kit is the fit between the panels.
An issue NOT helped at all by my layout
