Thanks for the nice comments! I am weathering her bit more over the next week or two, not that much...just adding a really thin dark wash over most of the ship, maybe add some soot, wear marks on the deck and grey it out a bit...i also plan to tone down the airplanes a smidge with a very thin light wash and finished detailing them. as usual, expect more pics...

thanks Carsenault, but my Yamato didn't even make it out of its category, got a Silver medal and People's Choice award for it though!!

haha! no wave motion gun, so this is closest I could come up with... a lttle build log on one of the AA guns:


parts cut off


roll'd n fol'd


main barrels added (toothpick is to set barrels parallel as glue sets)


4 (recoil cylinders?) added


elevation gear added underneath


my mat needs kleaning


side parts added


6 parts on this piece, some adjustment still required


completed. 22 parts per gun, 6 of this type on Yamato
