Despite 35 years in the high tech industry, or perhaps BECAUSE of that, I'm always seeking to simplify things.

Really ?
you obviously don't understand what " simplifying things " means .
It's a single word that conveys exactly what it needs to convey .

but , words you normally don't use offend you .
Obviously .
Otherwise you wouldn't have posted that nonsense .
That one word got you going .
Hilarious .

Everyone has a comfort zone, i dont mind big or fancy words as long as they are not used against me

Insecure, really?

If you think "mix" is not a simpler term than "miscible", you've been in the chemistry laboratory too long.

Wow .
those 2 words don't mean the same thing .
so yeah , I've been educated longer than you .

Unless ,
the acetone degraded the CA joint but there was enough acetone to also solvent weld the styrene at the same time .
Traded one bond for another ?
yes you are 100% correct. I had to remove landing gear on plane as i decided to display it wheels up, and about 20 sec of acetone and it popped right off. Great thanks. :)

For debonding CA joins, I use plain ol' acetone. Careful with the amounts, naturally.
Some use it in the form of nail polish remover, but I use the manly version from the hardware store :D
