Hasbro 29" Millennium Falcon Conversion

Woe......thought that cockpit was a goner....heart stopping I'm sure....that piece isn't cheap

Great save.

I kinda wish I could have seen Han's face when he saw what Lando did with it.

Very nice save, John.
I remember my son "stripping" a Keaton-era Batmobile when he was little, so I feel your pain/worry there

I get the feeling Lando took off in the Falcon and didn't return with it after the last Death Star battle and Solo was pissed off and had been looking for it ever since! That's why he and Chewie say "We're home!"

Lol guys! Right I feel I've turned a corner now and I think this may well beat the deadline....
Got the shadow markings on with using only the airbrush:

Next update will be the proper streaking and weathering using vallejo for the streaks by hand with a brush and filters and grime with AK and Wilder enamels ;)

Man that looks amazing. The lit engines are fantastic, and the whole thing is just...well...magnificent.

Thanks guys, yeah plenty of splatter :p Ok well the top is done, I didn't like the bold streaking that I had done by hand with the Vallejo Air German Grey so I removed them (cotton bud damp with vallejo airbrush cleaner) and re painted them with Humbrol Blue Grey, this way I could easily feather them out with a flat brush damp with enamel thinners, still got to weather the bottom and install
The cockpit and ROTJ crew ;)

Simply amazing.

What technique did you do for the spatter? I find that it's tough at small scales

(I paint a lot of stage scenery which is always incredibly large

I imagine that you did less brush work at this scale, am I right?
More airbrush/spatter/ pigments, less oil washes
