Hello from a little town close to San Antonio. I really enjoy and am amazed by the true artists on this forum. My level of expertise could never get close to y'all's works of art but I do have fun picking up on a hobby in retirement that I loved as a boy. Airplanes and cars are my preferred kits to work on. Right now I am focusing on cars and trucks I have had over the years. My first one is a 66 Chevy PU that was a bit of a hot rod using a modified 327 from a Stingray. Nice looking kit! You are close to San Antonio, so am I. Seguin Texas for me. Welcome to the forum.

Welcome! Best time i Had in San Antonio was a trip we took to the river walk, and then to try to take on the 4 Horseman Burger from Chunkys in east San Antonio. Made my self sick but i can laugh now lol

Thanks to everyone for the welcome and nice words.
I have been collecting kits to build for quite a while. I retired almost a year ago and all of a sudden found some extra time for my hobbies. WW2 aircraft have always been my favorite but the love of cars has allowed me to also enjoy automotive kits too.
That little Chevy was a pretty mean bugger back in the day. Duntov 30-30 solid lifter 327 and it would rev to the moon. I really regret not taking more pictures of my real vehicles back then. Hoping to pick up on some pointers here.
Oh, that Deora has a 340 Magnum. Couldn't see putting the Slant Six in it, except for maybe in the bed.

Me too, I just spent the last 38 years driving back and forth down I-10 to SwRI in SA. So glad I added what I did to my retirement over the years.

Chunkys was awesome! We had a client try to eat a Ghost Pepper burger. Dude lied on the lobby couch all afternoon and missed all his meetings. They tried to warn him……

Welcome to the madness. Lots of info here, just look around or ask.
Everyone here is always willing to help.

Welcome back to the hobby and welcome to the Herd, Guv! Those are some nice builds!
Whose kit is your SBC? Is that 1/72 scale or 1/48?
I look forward to seeing more of your build!
Best regards,
Brad

Thanks Brad,
That is an old Heller, it was a lot of fun. Thank you for the kind words.

1/72
The decals were shot so I did a RAF version of it.

Baron,
It is a 1/72 and the old decals were shot, it was supposed to be French. I decided to do an RAF Cleveland version of it probably because I had the decals on hand.
Very few of my aircraft are historically accurate as far as being a specific example from the past. I think Biplanes with a retractable undercarriage look cool.
