Help with Heinkel 115

Help has any one a 1.48 Heinkel 115 they no longer need, or parts i.e. float? Mine 'crashed' and cannot find missing parts. This aircraft means a lot to me as dad was at RAF Helensburgh when the Norwegian Heinkels arrived. Fingers crossed robin bird

I assume you mean the He 115 ?

Do you know the model's manufacturer ?
Which float is missing ? and is it more parts needed than just the float ?
Any pics ?

Yes 115, thanks for the interest. Believe it to be Revell and right float missing with struts. Some parts of cockpit missing but repairable

You can often get replacement parts , usually the entire sprue containing the part , from Revell . if you know which kit it is :

Those kits on that page have the instructions so you can see which sprue it is

or of course , purchase another kit .

Thanks for the interest. RAF Helensburgh (Marine Aircraft Experimental Establishment) was a secret WW2 flying boat devoted to ways of finding and sinking U_Boats. When Norway fell 4 German made Heinkel 115 floatplanes flew to Helensburgh and formed a clandestine wing. One Heinkel did not make it lost enroute. Initially the Heinkels remained part of the Norwegian Air Force in exile and we then taken over by the RAF. They were used for clandestine ops in occupied Europe then two continued such sorties from Malta before being destroyed. They flew with German markings. Helensburgh Heritage Trust web site has many stories about RAF Helensburgh including dad. He flew with a cat called Pyro, the only flying cat in the RAF. RAF Helensburgh also developed the Spitfire floatplane of which I have a model. ps I will probably buy a new Heinkel 115 model.

I have decided to buy another Heinkel 115 to replace the damage one.
Re the Arado 196 it is believed it came from the Admiral Hipper and was captured in Norway. It was flown to RAF Helensburgh for appraisal but crashed there and was wrecked. It was not until the end of the war that we had another Arado

Thanks Pantherman, going to buy new model. Dad was with the MAEE & then AFEE, secret wings of RAF in WW2.
I have been collecting models of aircraft he flew in, or photographed. i.e. Sunderland, Catalina, Heinkel 115, at Sherburn the Flying Jeep and Focke Achgelis autogiro then the Drache helicopter (Beaulieu) photographed when it crashed. The flying jeep trials involved jeep being pulled at speed towed by the requisitioned ex Birkin Bentley. The rear seats of the Bentley were taken out to accommodate photographer and equipment
