Hi everyone,

I'm currently building my first ship ever, the revell HMS Prince of Wales 1:570. I need some suggestions on how to widen the ship's hull, because it won't fit the deck.

I've read about techniques with blow dryers etc but i'm not sure how exactly to go about it. Any help is welcome

thanks

I've used styrene rod and spare sprue to widen tank hulls. You just find a length of rod that will allow the deck to fit and then glue the rod in place near the top of the hull.

The deck is wider than the hull opening...correct? Looks like you already have the base glued, this is where I would put a spacer to widen it though. How much wider is the deck than the opening?
