Patience my dear padawan.....

I am only getting an hour or two of bench time each day right now, so I am moving slowly. I only have 45 photo etch parts left and then I can start working on the lighting.

Tried my hand at clear resin casting last night, can't check the results until later today....

Thank you! Yes you can learn a lot on this site. I would guess that about 80% of what I use when working on this model I didn't know three years ago....

Yeah it is lacking a bit... They just stuck rectangular blobs on the model instead of trying to get the details right.

You can see it isn't quite centered in this picture, I am going to remove it tonight and center it:


I decided I will take up the fine art of resin casting for the first time. This is actually the second cast, can't find the first one:

The mold:



The second cast, I used red food coloring to get the color and didn't mix it right, that is the reason for the spots:



The cast I did last night came out much better, no coloring, I am going to just paint transparent red after the clean up. The video on this will tell all later.
