Unfortunately I didn't get any time to work on him yesterday, but am hoping to make up for it tonight after work, and this weekend. Friday, I have a car maintenance apt.so probably not much progress then, but I am ready to start slowing the build/detail process, and start painting. SURE.... that's what I say now. lol

I have done more yesterday, and am currently putting on more detail, BUT I need to stop and get on to the painting portion if I am going to finish this guy in time. Been doing some "welding" also. Didn't to to do Too much welding though.
This is the most work I have ever put into a model build! 8)

Well, guys I have an update. I have been working yesterday, and today. I am ready to get away from the figure for a bit, and maybe start painting the Base.
I did a little bit of "welding", and A LOT of "Riveting".









































This is the most work I have ever put into a Model, scratch-ed or not. :/

It really does help.
I think I may be done with the figure. Kind of reached the point where I can't think of anymore to do to it assembly-wise. I don't want to "over-detail him. I want a nice blend of fictional functionality. I may have overdone the buckles on his belt, and I thought of doing that for his gauntlets, but I decided that they are mainly a single piece, with the connector for the power unit "welded" onto it.
So, anyway, I may need to do a wee bit more sanding and then it will go into paint, and final wiring , and assembly.

I agree with all the other guys: the rivets and wielding joints came out perfectly, great job!
Now I really can't wait to see it primed (in paint even better) ;D

Hey guys,
sorry I haven't made much progress lately.
Working has been taking a lot of the wind out of my sails lately, and the weather hasn't been co-operating.
However, I did take advantage of a couple breaks in the weather and got a coat or two of black primer on him. I will be starting the detail painting of the base SOON. However, I am planning on seeing "Prometheus" today!!!! ;D
So, here are a few pix I just took.











That's it for now. He looks much better now, but be on the look-out for more progress....soon, I hope ;D

Yeah, thanx. Normally I really like the detailing stage, but with this one, and with a competition on the line, I am a little intimidated, and not exactly sure on how to paint this one.
I am going to do some experimenting on the base.

This is looking really good. Don't be afraid of the detailing stage, from your past builds, you will do fine!
