Couldnt get on here yesterday, off galavanting ;) so i could'nt get any pics on but back to work.

Weaponrey.
The launcher on the one side was an easy build,but when it came to the gun on top,geez.
I was going to simply use a 1/35 scale gun and pop it on the top but,the ma.k virus in my blood has made me build the gecko in 1/20 scale so i had to build an in scale gun too.

I can't wait to see this one finished up. All scratch built = AWESOME! I like your quote too, that's from Red Dwarf isn't it?

Wow, that's REAL scratch building. I like the fact you're just grabbing stuff to make this. Not buying the materials made for scratch building. lol Great work! I want more!

Hi elend,no for the legs i used ....ready for it .... das white clay!,and the only reason is i like the way it makes a creased look when dried.

Nice choice in build Maknifiso,i havent seen one of those for ages,you will do it justice.

Ok,i built the legs out of das white clay an place metal rods into the feet for extra support on the legs.
Next i cut some thin foam into shape and glued them to the legs to get the lumpy look.Oh yeah and a foam tape measure,i dont know where that thing came from. :-\

Here my entry, it is all done.

1/20 scale

Painted by brush and revel paints.

I was at first going to file down all the edges for a smooth look but when i thought about the geckos in a real life war situation,they would roam around buildings,get shot at, bashed,smashed,have rpg's fired at them,and with every day wear and tear they wouldn't look as pristine as they do in the game.
So i left most of the back and most of the edges unsanded so it has a sort of welded field repair look to it,also i made little knicks in parts of the legs as if it has been cut and healed over time.
