Muddy StuG III Ausf G

Thanks Mr Scott

Here are the results of a weekend's worth of painting. Loader needs a couple of refinements with the skin tone. I am having a hell of a tough time with this one. The facial features aren't the best and I'm just not finding my grove. :| The Komandar turned out a little better. I think he needs a little more dirt on the white uniform.

Looking great. Sure, more dirt on that white wouldn't hurt, but they both look really good.

Alright, we're done here.

Here are some final photos to share. The mud was created with a lot of things and a lot of trial and error to get the churned up muck look I was going for. To better represent the sea of mud in the photo I didn't use a lot of filler foliage except a couple of tree stumps which were fun to paint but are hardly noticeable.

Thanks guys. Much appreciated. The mud was quite a challenge to get it the way I wanted.

Gotta start planning the next one.

Anything in mind?

A few things armor related
T-34
Valentine MkXI
Stug ausf F/8
251/10 ausf C

or maybe a new scratch build MaK project.
1/35 222F sandstalker or 1/35 Sphinx.

Can't decide. They all sound like fun projects

Looks like you got it right Bryan, intense job. Looks pretty dang real to me Bro. Bravo, I dig it!

Those figures look really good too, btw.

Cheers, Ski.

P.S. There's a heck of a lot of experience shown in this piece, it most certainly shines brightly!

Thanks a lot Steve. I appreciate the comments. Hope fully we'll see some mud from you soon enough. I'm sure it will be more awesomer.

I'm in for some mud Bryan, quite possibly on the 200mm dio, but I'm going to have to ask for your consultation on scale of effect, PM from time to time. You made this look too dang easy and I'm a wimp at heart until I get my hands dirty. As for more awesomer, not a chance, I'm still learning from guys like you Bro.

That SBS will be on the peg board if ya don't mind, pics and all. I have a habit of plastering the "Master's" works on my shelve ledges so it's right in front of me for reference. I'm a visual learner I recon, lol.

At any rate Bro, killer finish as usual!!!

Cheers, Ski.
