New to modelling

Could you recommend a site or two? I'm in the States and REALLY tired of Hobby Lobby.

You can do waaaaay better than Hobby Lobby and Amazon. I hate Amazon and will not support them anymore.

See link the member has posted. A thread was started on various hobby related online stores. All are highly recommended.

I been going to Andy's Hobby Headquarters for stuff lately. Saw them on YouTube. I'll give them a thumbs up!

I think I am going to go with one with a tank, I guess it's not going to be on constantly while you use it. I've been looking at a few of them and I think the one Panterman recommended is what I'm going to pick up.

Hi all,

I'm just getting into this hobby, I am looking to build a Tamiya 35210 British Churchill VII as my first little project. I am looking into getting the bits and pieces I need to get started. Now here's where my confusion begins.

Paints... What type of paints, the colors I need, what varnished to get, what I'd need for weathering.

I'd appreciate it if I could get a point in the right direction.
Hi. Just new to this site, but thought I would tell you what I use. No airbrush, simply Artist Acrylic paint. Because it's water based, you can get some great worn, weathered effects, by using warm water, once the paint has dried, which doesn't take long at all. With a bit of practise, all sorts of weathering can be achieved. Hopefully, when I get the hang of posting photos, you can see what results can be achieved using this method.
