Hello, I just got back into modeling after a 40+ year break.........lol A lot has changed.
A couple of months ago I built a Revell P-51 and decided to try my hand at weathering and panel accents for my first build.
I think it turned out ok, room for improvement but the panel lines really messed me up considering it looks so simple on YouTube.
Basically,
Airbrushed the following acrylics......
Vallejo black primer
Vallejo Air Chrome
Vallejo Satin Varnish
Minimum of 24 hours dry time for each.
Panel lines were done using
Tamiya Enamel Panel Line Accent in black
I tried cleaning the excess using Tamiya thinner......big mistake was I used their acrylic thinner.
Just for clarification I need to use their enamel thinner for the accent?? I hadn't even realized they had two types. ........

Enamel panel liner is best removed with mineral spirits rather than a lacquer or alcohol based thinner. Vallejo is beautiful paint, but "weak". The varnish layer may need to set a week before applying solvents of any kind.

Thanks!
