I took yesterday off and today. Yesterday I didn't too much. Today I got the body painted. I sanded with a 4000 grit which I think will help the gloss coat.

I have one mishap at the fender and driver door which I'll have to spot spray tomorrow.
I added a column shift to the steering.

Tomorrow I might try to shoot a satin coat over the seats and the interior white paint.

Once I start it's difficult for me to stop. LOL

Need some advice please. Never really done a shiny finish before as the armour is usually matt and covered in mud anyway. So I'm happy with the glossy finish and mottled look but should I really sand it all down and go for glossy flat finish? Tell me what you think and don't hold back with your comments.

Probably not the best photos as did them in the spray booth so they show the reflection.

I like the gloss.
I'm going to try the Vallejo polyurethane.

Maybe a wet sand with 2000 or 3000 grit and then a clear coat.

I was just looking at the pics I posted of my build and saw a fat thumb print on the siren. I will be touching that up.

Absolutely. I have a few different grits. It makes a big difference.
I started not to sad at all, but I figured that I'll continue just putt putting along.

Well I did some sanding and gave the body another 3 coats. It's better but not great. I have started to fit the clear parts so they are all glued in, just got to polish them up when they dry. Pantherman

I'm getting there.
I have the interior assembled. I'll probably spray a satin varnish over it tomorrow or maybe even tonight.

I'll have to change needles to a 5 for the polyurethane for the body.

Got the chrome done around the front and back and the small triangular windows. It might be a little difficult to see the chrome in these pics.

I attached a pic of the chrome pins I use. They work really well.

I remember those small windows. They would really push the wind inside!

Coming along nicely, like the chrome trim. I will have to get one of those chrome pens. Pantherman
