Repurposed Pickup Truck

Fridge for the large bottle that you decant into a smaller one. If you roll like that.

Dirtied the interior up.

And have been working on the other bits and bobs.

You'd be right. Can't stop when you're getting chased by the undead.

Cab is finally together and I've dressed the interior.

Now we're talking. Got the truck bed attached, three of the tires, and the gunner position cage.

Made up a window screen tonight.

Wasn't super happy with the first use of my stainless steel mesh. At this size it was pretty hard to snip into shape and because it's woven, the edges quickly began to fray. Maybe I need to rethink this mesh usage, unless folks have suggestions for better ways to trim it into shape.

With that being said I decided to build a frame to house it, and to help it look a little more realistic.

The bolt heads are foil punch outs I made with a customized Micron .30 pen.

I loved seeing The Small Shop's 'Nutter' in Scott's video, but at $115, it's not going to be on my bench for a long while.

I figured there must be a DIY solution and so played around with a hand hold punch, nail setter and a cut push pin. Nothing really worked but then I came upon the pen (which was almost out of ink away), sniped the end, and then pushed the nib back into its body.

And here's a dry fit on the truck.
