So, the Memphis Bell is on hold for now.

I am very, and pleasently shocked at the quality of this kit. no flash or ejection pin marks. The date on the instructions booklet is 2019. Revell has, finally stepped up to the plate they're batting triples and home runs!
The booklet is in color and the instructions are nicely & easily described allowing the builder stress-free parts, instead of sanding, trimming filling with putty on all 131 parts. This will be my second 1/32 kit. I e ordered aftermarket cockpit switches and toggles, which has already been delivered.

I started last night with the drilling holes in the under side of the wings.

Hey Gary
I was wondering if Revell is making any newer 1/32 of American WWII aircraft. Never built any Revell since getting back in to modelling but had heard some negatives about some models manufactured in the 2005-2010 period. Is their a way to tell which kits are newer ???

Gary,
Sorry about this long hiatus. This kit is a 2019. Really nice tooling and simplistic. I feel this kit could use more fuselage and wing panels and rivet detail, the engine has alot of detail and looks great. Im waiting to get to this step. Im still working on the cockpit. The PE are typical -nice and detailed.
there are 168 parts with a level 5. I think thats as high as Revell goes.
My Revell 1/96 USS Constitution has about a bazillion parts and steps. It is currently shelved for an undetermined time. My wife got it for me at Christmas 2008.

Anyway. That's all I have at this time.
