Well… I can tell you, It was fun when it was done!
Seriously, this kit was a reissue of the original AMT kit using the old molds so it was nowhere close to being accurate to the filming miniature. The wings, fuselage, dorsal fin, and nacelles had to be heavily modified. Then I had to buy aftermarket decals to fit the more accurate dimensions of the model after all the rework. I also drilled out all the round and square holes for the windows and sensor ports for lighting purposes using drills and files before framing them with brass tubing, She turned out much better than I could have hoped though.
Having said that, the smaller 1/1000 kit from Polar Lights is a much more accurate kit.
