Hi Guys
Been away for a while due to family illness, new job, sickness, and other modelling commitments, but I'm back now and looking forward to catching up with everyone's fantastic work!
I started this build over Xmas, I wanted to get back into dio's as I haven't done one in a few months and this excellent Dragon Sd.Kfz 10/5 kit seemed a good starting point.
The scene is set in the Russian winter with the flak crew looking for a target.
I started building up the groundwork with soil and cat litter to build up the culvert and a wrapping paper tube for the pipe. The water was a mix of a product called mod podge and also Ranger glossy accents. I'm still not finished with the water yet, it has taken loads of layers to get this far and about 2 weeks so far! There will be a fine layer of snow over the ground when the stream is done too
The kit built up easily enough and then was airbrushed with Vallejo colours with loads of chipping and some filters and washes and oils so far. Again I've still got plenty of work to go yet.
The figures are Dragon again the flak artillery crew which only needed a bit of changing around to fit the scene. They are about finished, but still some dirtying to go yet
Anyway here's the pictures so far
Thanks for looking, any comments welcome and it's good to be back!
