Every .50 I've ever fired had a black Bakelite handle.

Nothing wrong with what you have there. Looks very good and the wood could have been replaced after the war with Bakelite.

cool thanks for the info!

some work today, I mixed up a dust color, and made dust around the wheels and track area.

oh I knocked the light off. I'll have to pin it on after

decided to start on the little figure dude.

I got a start with the flesh tones. they still need some more tweaking and the hands need more work to, but thats enough painting for tonight.
I use oils.

didn't get much done today, watching to much football lol

i got the tools painted, and begun adding weathering in that area of the tank.

took some time and added random scratches all over the place. with a pointy brush, and some heavier chipping only where they might be tying on stowage and junk.

I added some more weathering and finished the tracks on the other side.

not sure I like the mud splatter on the sides I may remove some of it.
