So I am calling this finished but technically I still need to do the glass-in version of the canopy. Just putting it off until I get enough motivation to do the tedious masking

Are you sure? Shouldn't the fuselage be level with the ground, instead of the nose up in the air like that? I was afraid that it might be back heavy before the final assembly, but that isn't the case. Instead, the nose gear seems to be a bit too tall.

I'd say done, and very nicely apart from landing gear height

Love the color scheme and weathering

But yeah, the engine should be parallel to the ground instead of the front being higher if you go by ANH hangar scenes

but you could always make an argument for this one needing new pistons or something

The landing gear is pewter, so I could probably cut its length a bit easily enough. I'll give it a shot. The way it plugs in makes it obvious as to the angle it sits in. If I can adjust this, I think it will look better.

of course the other option is raise the rear gear, but if the front is set for that angle than that will also have to be fixed

It looks very nice. I would agree about the landing gear, as good as it looks I believe I would have to try to address it personally. But it still looks good regardless, sometimes a story can resolve it.

I don't view it that way, but it did cause me to take a look. That medical frigate is amazing. Any plans for a smaller scale? I'm all about the biggest and the best, but I still have to avoid sleeping on the couch because it's hell on my back.

EDIT: Forgot to mention, still slowly working on my A-Wing as I have time. I'll post pics when I can.

Alright lads, over the weekend I took my Wave metal cutters and shortened that landing gear by several millimeters. Since it's pewter, it was soft enough to cut, file down, and drill holes into the parts. I used my pinvise to drill a 1mm hole into the middle, then CA glued a brass rod to connect and reinforce the two pieces together. It's looking a lot better now. For a while, I was afraid that I should have put a fishing weight into the cockpit module, however it wasn't necessary after all. I'll share pics later.
