Probably the cockpit and hull details rather than add on parts. Like is tamiya better than airfix sort of thing. Hope that makes sense. Pantherman

Tim has the line on cockpit details. What I look for details in photo files and searches.
I know some kits are better than others, revell I think is pretty close to bottom, making them.look good is the challenge.
Tamiya is always amazing, the one Airfix I did was a P51 which went together very nicely with lots of detail.

I saw that Hobby Boss has a 1-18 scale UH-1B. They also have a 1/48 kit.
Italeri has a 1/48. I am not really a fan of Italeri kits.
Academy has one as well.
If I had to choose I would go with either the Academy or Hobby Boss.

For my Revell kit I ordered the Quinta Studios 3D decal set.

The instrument panel and console are overlay. There are some individual decals also.

I found they were not easy to paint, the moldings make them look like lumpy people.

I think the fitting will be a bit more clean than the Revell, looking forward to your play by play.
