If it wasn't for tutors like Grendels, I would have never passed Calc2. That's some nightmarish math!

I was a Operations Manager of Coca Cola Enterprises here in PA, USA until I became injured requiring back surgery which resulted in various complications in the long run putting me on a permanent disability (thanks to a insurance company forcing me to apply for SSDI, continuing the appeals process until the disability was granted). God love workers comp they always have the umpire on there side to get out of paying you. The state Drs gave me lighter restrictions then my own surgeon did when releasing me to go back to work after the back surgerie(s).

As a result of the disability I've turned to scale model building as a way to occupy my time. I'm currently just riding the wave as my parents own a busing service that they have owned and operated for 35 years who are hanging it up after this school years end. I will then be going off disability and taking over the family owned and operated busing service while continuing the love for scale model building.

Journeyman Electrician - Construction and Maint. in South Central Ontario.

I love it...I do and see all kinds of different things.

Just in the last 4-5 years I have worked in or on....

Honda car plant,
2 hospitals doing mainly fire alarm,
a prison installing new cameras,
3-4 Dollarama stores
IBM data centre doing a huge battery back up room.
2 bank data centres,
A co-gen power generating project involving helicopter engines from the Ukraine that was being sent to Ghana
Georgian Bay Islands National Park where we wired up some cottages and a visitor centre. It was on an island so we had to commute by boat. That was pretty cool.
Right now its a series of solar farms near where I live. All outside work...lots of mud and getting vehicles stuck all the time. It just seems to rain and snow...never see the sun. Ha ha.

The funny part is I have never wired a house. ;D

Had to retire early due to disabilities from being hit by a car. Now back to my modeling and various other hobbies, that occupy my time.

Paper, I feel ya man Im in the same boat. Disability stinks but it is what it is. I just thank the lord Im around and kicken yet. With my infections I got from the surgeries to come out of that still alive is a blessing. I have a friend that is dying from Cancer so when I think I have it rough anyday I just go visit him and then return home thanking the good man above that he decided to give me a disability that can at least be livable. Thank the lord you are still alive after being hit by a car geesh thats too scary for my blood ha ha.

I work in the maintenance department of our local school board. Worked inside and out, covering everything from the ground up. Now I am a foreman, and just tell other people what to do ;D. I am also on the executive of our Union, and that takes up a lot of my time, but provides great educational and travel opportunities. In a couple of weeks I will be off to a labour law course for a week, then the following week off to a conference to the capital of the country for another week long conference.

I,m a commercial banking manager, my team and district covers an area approx 4 x the size of Texas. I spend a lot of time getting on and off of aircraft. Demanding but rewarding. Leaves precious little time for modelling though after family commitments etc. This site is a constant source of motivation for me, without following all the amazing work here I think I would soon lose motivation to keep modelling.
