So....2011 Big Spring Contest entries will be posted soon. There were many folks who didn't finish. The purpose of this poll is to see if there is interest in having a little group build from now until the end of September.

The goal is simple: finish your contest build if you didn't.

There won't be much in way of prizes - simply a last push to finish what we started. Of course there doesn't have to be an 'official' build however a little more motivation never hurts.

Vote Yeah! or Nah~

I won't vote, because I was one of the lucky ones who finished.
But I'm seriously liking the idea.

Scott,

I finished mine, but I was thinking...

Could this be opened up a little if it goes ahead? Changed from "finish your unfinished contest build" to say maybe; "finish your personal bane of a kit that's half built, collecting dust in the pile of boxes and making you feel bad every time you contemplate starting a new build".

Then I'd be in for sure. ::)

i second this.

but otherwise yea i approve, but i only entered in the all open category.

Sure, why not.

More from me after the Saturday night movie - Inception.

I think this is a super idea and including anyone's 'shelf queens' is cool too.

The more the merrier right? 8)

;D. I can't even think of starting The Predator "resin" figure I selected for the Contest... It would take for ever.... Maybe an other time?

I rather look at those that almost made it! And see them cross the finish line! Proudly!

shelf queens? do you mean model restorations, fixing and cleaning up peaces that sat for a while?

I finished my entry but I would participate if it would be allowed to use half-started kits...

I third this, I have one kit I need to finish but every time I look at it, my gut says NO. This might be what I need....

Yeah - Basically unfinished kits. Something you started but didn't complete. Some folks called them incomplete builds or stalled builds - others call them Shelf Queens (I guess).

Finish you shelf queen...da da da da da...if you know what I mean.

Umm yeah, shelf queen. :-\

You started her and then got distracted by...

oh look a quarter!

Then, she sits there, looking down at you from the shelf like royalty, judging your every move because you failed... failed at completing her.

Stalled build? What? I never got it running in the first place how could I stall it?

I dunno, call it whatever you like, it's a kit you started and never finished. Boxed brat, stash stooge, closet clown... ;D

I'm in but you better hurry because the F-4B is going together fast! ;)

cant wait to see that either, it looks like its going to be a good kit!

I'm in, ran out of time to finish my PT project but I want to finish it anyways.
I'm still working on it.

I'd be in. While constructing my blackhawk I built a Stryker, and a Jeep :)
They just need painted, decaled and weathered.
They weren't really contest entries though.

This is great.

Instead of the contest banner, how about a "the goal is completion" banner.
