The One I Have Been Waiting for

Weight weighs , LOL . So shipping .

How bout where you work ? Isn't there a ton of shavings everyday ?
Ebay has listed a 5 lb. Bag of lead shot for 15 bucks, free shipping.

As far as work goes, A. I would need a ridiculous amount to even begin to weigh anything, as our metal shavings are paper thin, and besides if I tried to cart any off I'd lose my job on the spot as they sell that crap to recyclers.

Yeah , I was just looking on Amazon . Good grief it's expensive .
I must be sitting on a couple thousand bucks worth of lead :D - all inherited from my hand-loader father .

We used to have a ton of split shot for fishing. Musta had at least a pound or more. I had the fishing gear till bout five years ago and pitched it cos no one in the gang gives a crap about fishing or the outdoors, and I'm not someone to go do that stuff without someone with me in case of an accident.

Wish now I'd kept the split shot.

Well, last things I did for the night...
Clear coated the floor with gloss.20210906_003128.jpg
I will hit it with one more coat tomorrow morning.

The tan on the bay walls was easier than I expected. Some minor slop to fix, but not much.20210906_003123.jpg

Will hit it with clear tomorrow morning too. Then touch up what needs it, reclear, then decals.

The shuttle has got a grey base inside. This will eventually be a gull grey, but still working on light blocking. This transluscent plastic the thing is printed from does NOT like black. 20210906_003141.jpg

And finally, I put the top and bottom together to try to see how light hits inside. Not that I got much to work with.20210906_003050.jpg

Well, the floor has been decaled and flat coat applied.20210906_191719.jpg

The shuttlebay has been touched up, decaled and I just got the flat clear on it.20210906_182330.jpg20210906_182340.jpg20210906_182347.jpg

And the shuttle interior is done as far as it'd be worth taking it considering A. Tiny, and B. You will MAYBE see 10% if that of it.20210906_191645.jpg

So got the clear plastic installed on the shuttle bay and Micro Krystal Kleer on the ones I can't cover with plastic.20210907_190323.jpg20210907_190328.jpg20210907_190337.jpg

And got the light kit today. Getting close to really getting work done on this sucker.

They are lookin for a good party spot planetside.:p

That little shuttle is… wait for it….

AMAZING!
Quick question... do I need to do any lightblocking with the clear fantail part? I was gonna light block the rwar section of it then tey to mask the individual lights and lightblock that section, but thought I'd better ask before I screw it up.

Got the fiber optic bent. Just turned my stove's burner to 5 and held it over the burner with tweezers till it started to bend then took it off once it bent enough. Not a perfect 90 degree bend but close enough.20210908_180922.jpg20210908_180937.jpg
