Russ, thank you for the kind words, the foam is not that hard to work with but it does take some getting used to as with any time you carve something that you do not take to much away but with this foam you can add to it with putty or an epoxy style putty. The foam is high density urethane used in the sign industry, you could use balsa foam but I tried balsa foam and found it waaayyy to brittle and soft. I got my foam from http://www.signfoam.com/signfoam.html over six or seven years ago they had sample packs in three different densities. Not sure if they still offer samples you may try a sign shop in your area to see if they use this they may offer you some drops or sell you some of there pieces left over. It is really easy to use but you should use a respirator because its not a good idea to breathe in the dust from this stuff. I refused to use one on my 1941 chevy build and I could tell it did a toll on my lungs as it was hard to breathe for a while after carving and shaping and sanding, I sure use one now when I use the foam now.rustyrat1960 said:
