Hi chaps

Well , with the Dauntless done I thought I'd throw a quickie together for a Messerschmitt GB over on Robs site , thought I'd share it with you all here too .

The kit Im using is one of ICM's 109's ....looks nice too

The only niggle I have about this kit ,is the fact i got the wrong decal sheet in mine !

This is the one I got .....

DSCF4823.jpg

This is the sheet I should have got ....Spot the difference??

The complete set of decals for the aircraft on the box top is missing , not to worry tho ,Im not doing that scheme ....Im doing this one

There is actually four decal options on the sheet .

Quick look at the instructions ....

All in all ,it looks like a nice kit ,bit of flash to remove in places ,but no big deal ,and all reviews I've looked at suggests it builds up really well ...AND at less than a Tenner ( £8.99) well worth a pop

Chris.

Yeah ..they do look nice ,havent built ICM yet so we'll see ,but I've heard good things :)

Chris.

Thanks Anthony ,nice to have you along buddy ;)

Chris.

I'll be following this one :) That paint scheme looks really good!
I just like those 109s - you can never build enough of them.

This is kicking it back? Count me in ...always up for one of these Kid!!! Carry on Sir!!! ;)

Ah the BF-109 has to be one of my favorite planes. They are so awesome looking. Cant wait to see it all built up.

Thanks guys ,nice to have you all along :)

Robbo ...good to see you looking in mate ;)

Got the engine put together lastnight ,I'll try get some pics up later if the site isnt messing about !

Chris.

Hi Jelly ...Nice to see you fella

I will certainly keep you informed ;) Have to say tho ,the engine went together well ....24 parts in all .However there isnt really any locating pins ...bit like a short run kit ,or resin kit ,but the fit is very good ,hopefully some pics shortly :)

Chris.

Hi chaps :)

Made a bit of a start on this the other night . I started with the engine assembly ...and wow ! 24 parts go into this little Donk !! and I think it turns out really nice . One thing of note tho is that there is a distinct lack of locating pins ,dont let that put you off tho as it goes together very easy ,even the crankcase halves line up perfect .
I was going to do a quick build on this one ,but to be honest the detail is so nice Im going to add a few more scratch parts and display the 109 with both the cockpit canopy & engine cowls open :)

The engine .....no its not upside down ,this is the way it sits in the aircraft . ;)

With the engine assembled I started on the cockpit ,so far I have only got to making some belts as I havent had much bench time this week . The belts are made from Tamiya tape ,foil & copper wire ,I think you can tell which is which .

The more I look at this kit ,the more Im impressed .For such a cheap price it certainly gives some of the bigger manufacturers a run for the money .

More soon

Thanks for looking.

Chris.

24 parts in that engine! Wow, that's a model in itself. Those seat belts, did you scratch them yourself because they look great. If my eyes don't deceive me I would say they look like Tamiya tape and wire made buckles.

Thanks Anthony ,yes the belts are scratched Tamiya tape ,copper wire & foil . Think they look ok :)

Chris.

That donkey is looking the part there!!! Love the belts too!!! Moving right along out there!!!! Happy St. Patrick's Day!! ;)

Yes, Happy St. Patty's Day! I've never made corned beef and cabbage so Sunday I'm making it for the first time ever. So looking forward to it. And yes Chris those belts and buckles look the part. Masters work as always. ;D
