I've decided on paint too. Dirty yellow CAT engine. Rusted frame. Bare metal cab (corroded) and chipped black doors with large Peterbilt logos - and maybe a skull or two.

Made a bit more progress in this today. After the last update and mockups I found the engine to be too far back so I tore out a couple of the front cross members and moved everything forward a few scale inches. I also did some chore type stuff, assembling tanks, seams, sanding. I did get the rear wall on the cab, and channeled it so I have my cab height established now. I also made some rivets with the Small Shop Nutter and detailed the chassis. Added another bar to the rear end. Getting there.
Next is to sort out the interior and build some bomber seats.
Here are some pics. She's aint pretty, she just looks that way.
That is just awesome!! LOL...I like the stacks the way they are but your ride Boss! Yeah, going to make a call about getting some of the Nuts, bolts and washer right now!!! Keep at it!!
A panhard rod. COol. I had no idea what it was called. I assume it prevent the frame from shearing when you do donuts.
- auto modeling. Yup. It's a drug. I'm loving it cuz A: lots of kits available locally B: you can build anything C: tons of reference D: everything being in the same scale means I can swap and customize all day long. E: I get to weather as much as I want, as much as any sci-fi or armor build if I want too.
Glad you're digging the automotive genre Scott. Obviously, I'm primarily an automotive builder but I actually love Sc-fi as well. I love horsepower and zombie shredding machine guns. LOL! I'm really enjoying your creativity with your cars. The Star Wars 32 Ford and the Big Rat are very inspiring. With creativity the possibilities are endless with automotive just as much as any other category. Keep on Rock'n Scott!!! ;D
A Panhard rod fixes to the frame at one end and the axle at the other,it prevents the axle moving sideways .you can also use a Watts linkage which is two rods ,one either side and connected on top of the axle via a pivot
