Is anybody color blind in here besides me? ;D

I have red/green deficiency but I can tell it's got a green tint. I just can't see a red fire hydrant on a nice green lawn. Go ahead, ask me how I know. ;D

Wow it's looking real good lots of colour not just one big yellow bland model

Thanks All
I'm just pulling your leg about being color blind but others could be and just don't know it plus your monitor might not be rendering the colors as they should.
Take my word for it the RAL 7027 is a pale green.

Starting to add the little things that give a model character, the part I really enjoy.
Thanks so much for your comments
Tony lee :)

Thats what I was just getting ready to say. our monitors might not be picking up the pale green.

On the other hand, this sir is a work of art!

BJ I don't know about the art part but its had its share of work ;D

I sprayed a satin clear coat, recommended for AK Interactive instead of gloss, and after it dried applied a 50/50 mix of AK DAK Filter.

I see a little subtle difference but not much. Asking any AK users should I put on another coat?
Did I use to much thinner?
I've never used AK before and really don't know what effect i'm looking for. HELP Help

Comments Needed, Please Please
Thanks

Tony,

It looks like it made a diference in the pics.

I have never used the AK stuff, but I did use a mig filter on a VW Bug, I ended up putting 4 coats on it.

Hiya Tony!! 1st, this is looking amazing BTW!!! She's come together nicely!! ;)

As for the Filter....was there a particular reason to going 50/50? After sitting in on a few conversation with some AK officials, these filters and washes are pretty much ready to go straight out without diluting. I would say you were good to go again with the 50/50 and you would probably see the results starting to take effect. I actually shot Afrika dust out of my AB...thought I ruined what I was doing, after it dried it looked a lot different. To boot, You are able to work it within a day or so as well, not like an oil wash. If you go on to heavy, a little clear spirits and you can move it right around and/or off!

Keep it rolling!! ;D

Why did I do It? Well they don't give you any directions and I did try it full strength on the bottom and when dry it was a strong golden yellow, too strong I thought so I went with the 50/50 mix.
I guess i'll give it another coat and see how it goes.

Thanks guys

Yeah, the direction thing ::) You can mix The AK stuff amongst itself too.....been known to mix streaking grime and such with filters and change the color a bit...but I suppose that would be kind of a wild card if your looking for a specific tinge of color. The filter does look more orange/golden yellowish than the Afrika Dust Effects! ???

Thinking you'll do just fine with the 50/50, worst case, you can use the spirits to remove what you can and mix up an oil wash?? :-\

Good luck! ;)

OK I put another coat on and it covered up all the green :(
So you say just use the thinner and start taking it off right?
