'Clansmen' A-7E in 1/48..

Another quick update....

Chaff/Flare dispensers.After consulting with an ex-ordinance handler,I went back and painted each individual charge.Dark blue for.the chaff and titanium gold for the flare cartridges.



I then started working on the pylons and TER's,using photo-etch parts from True Details and a bit of scratchbuilding.These are the pads that are attached to each sway brace.From what I have seen,there are two on each brace..so for this build I have to make 48 of these....









TER's and Mk20,partially complete:





I see that I still have some trimming and straightening to do...I also have to scratchbuild some safety covers for the weapons now.. Be back soon.Comments welcome

Thanks for asking! The safety covers for the Mk20's were scratchbuilt from sprue trees.I picked out the diameter that I needed,rounded off one end,and hollowed out the back end.After I evened up the edges of the back side I punched out circles of very thin sheet plastic and glued those on.Once dry I went back and opened up holes in the sheet plastic to fit over the noses of the bombs.

The safety covers for the AIM-9's are from Aerobonus.I couldn't get mine to come out to my standards,so I just ordered a set.
