I notice that every time I reply to a post, the post I'm replying to gets put into the reply. How do I prevent this, or truncate the quote to the specific item I'm addressing?
Oh ,I notice that every time I reply to a post,
Works for me! Thanks for the tipIs it working ?
Yes, that works. When I first tried erasing part of the quote, I got trapped as you said. Now it doesn't.Oh ,
well , it appears to function normally again .
Hey, it's the internutz …Hmmm ,
it must still be intermittently wacky .
You can reply without quoting by typing what you have to say into the text field at the bottom of the thread without pressing a Reply button.I notice that every time I reply to a post, the post I'm replying to gets put into the reply. How do I prevent this
Select the part of the message that you want to reply to. A popup appears that says "Reply". Click that and your reply will only include a quote of the text you selected.or truncate the quote to the specific item I'm addressing?
That's what admins are for. It's an enhancement request for whomever is responsible for maintaining the site. That can be done, if the forum admin wants to delve into the text strings behind the scenes.
