Kitten In A Tree - Done

Re: Kitten In A Tree

I might attempt that Sherman one I posted since it's not so much as damaged as the tree just grew through the open hole in the deserted tank. Does anyone know what exact variant it it?

Re: Kitten In A Tree

Thats a Photoshop isnt it ???....it is really ..right ??? ;D ;D Fantastic T ....and I agree ,I think its your best yet bro ;)

Chris.

Re: Kitten In A Tree

I went back to see how you did the tree !!! Pretty ingenious use of twisted copper wire !!! I need to write that down... The whole thing is darn close to the original picture... Hopefully, they will let you show it "together".... so people can fully appreciate it !

Good luck with it.... if you decide to enter it in a Show... I'm pretty confident, it will be a hard one to beat !

Take care !

Re: Kitten In A Tree

Mock-up looks terrific, T. This one definately has the "Rubberneck" effect....you have to stop
and stare at the Destruction. Keep up the good work....see you in the forum. Bill

Re: Kitten In A Tree

Outstanding job!

Have to ask the question - how do you bend the styrene to replicate bent/ twisted steel plate?

I'm thinking hot water, but I could be wrong.

Re: Kitten In A Tree

Thank you gentlemen!!! I hate when projects wind down....the fun goes away....Until the next one anyway!!! ;D

Beo -On the styrene bending....a candle/T-light or even a light in a pinch. Lightly soften the area you want bent and work it. The candle is easier, since it frees up a hand. Some of the "stuff" though, inside, is aluminum foil too. Bends much easier and look real close to scale!! ;)

Re: Kitten In A Tree

Awesome T, really great work

I think we all know what you mean about winding down, I'm sure you're planning the next one as we speak though!

Re: Kitten In A Tree

Thank you!!! Planning??.....Yes...one?....LOL, no. All part of the game though!! ;)

BTW...love the Avatar.....yours I assume? She looks like a great pup!!! ;)
