Remembering a Hero

Somewhat confused. These are the markings for Col Robin Olds's plane.
Yes, I'm doing this for the memory of a pilot and his navigator who were shot down Col. Peter Joseph Stewart and his B/N (on page 1 of this post)
I wore that red MIA bracelet until it broke. Then I ordered new one.
I never knew him but I heard wars a very kind man.
He was in 3 wars:
World War II as a pilot trainer.
Korean War fighter pilot
Veitnam pilot/bn where he was shot down and died as a POW. His remains were returned home in 2021.

Yes, but my point is the markings are for a different pilots plane. Hence my confusion.
Correct, Don
I realize this camo pattern is for Col. Olds, but since I do not have any information Of Col. Stewart's pattern I decided to just use what came with the kit.

I've decided to set Colonel Stewart's jet to the side for a little bit.

I was getting sloppy because I lost my focus. With that I made a couple of overnights. I should have listened to the little guy on my shoulder telling me to paint that air-break red, Gary.

Also, the clear gloss varnish I used left a sandpaper-like texture in some spots. I sprayed a coat of floor gloss, which helped some, but not enough. I'll probably try to knock it down with some 2500 grit to 5000 grit.
I should practice what I preach; "it's not a race. Go slow, and enjoy the hobby."
