I think the nose makes him look like an adult.
Other than that he looks great!!!!
This will be awesome thing to behold when finished!!!!

Comic book finish or semi real.. shading etc??

Excellent sculpt!

I would aim for a comic book finish, hard black outlines, solid colors, completed with a frame that looks
like a comic window!

Positives:

Main diorama nearly complete. Backdrop painting came out almost like I wanted.. makes a nice change.
Details to add: smashed undercarriage, canopy to be added to ship, figurines to be positioned, some touch up painting, including the black border to make it comic stripish (?!? is that a word?), also thinking over a nameplate to go on the front...

Negatives:

TURNED ON THE COMPLETED ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. SAW THE ONE AND ONLY RED L.E.D. FLASH TO LIFE THEN PASS AWAY FOREVER.
N O T H A P P Y ...

cant be fixed without disassembling the ship, and if someone else wants to do it, you have my blessing. I'm over electrics....





theres a piece of tape holding the still drying glue in the upper right corner.. ignore that...

Suggestions are always welcome..



P.S. if you're a Calvin and Hobbes o'phile, if you can pick which book the backdrop came from, there's a cookie in it for you..

Oh man!
I am sorry to hear about the LEDs burning out.
However, I must say that the diorama looks fabulous!!!!!!

There's still 2 functioning white leds in the ship as they're wired in parallel, I just can't believe it waited till final assembly before dying

The second coats still drying at the moment. Mixed my own colours to get them just right.

I've now realised i've forgotten to put his shoulder pauldrons on the figure. I'm not sure if I can do anything about it now..

Essentially finished, but I have to it a text plate on the front of the dio box..something like,

" Spiff sets his Zorcher to'Shake 'n' Bake as he completes his conquering of his latest Planet, Calvin VII "











This build is finished at least for the moment.
I have pressing issues I have to attend to.

Damn, I forgot all about that. At the moment it's going to stay the way it is due to other issues imposing on my time. Charity work is taking a front seat so its all good.
When it happens along with the plaque on the front, I'll post pics.
