I gave in and made a start. Well, I've built the stand. I might fit hidden lighting on the underside of the hull to light up the interior. Pantherman

I started last night. Got the hull put together but no deck plates yet.

That would be really cool!
That's what I wanted to do on the B-17 and add the anti-collision, wingtip and bombing lights. I won't be doing that.
If I build a PBY that might be something to visit.

This is going to be another monster build. I hadn't realised just how big the kit was. Loving the details, certainly seems good value for the money. Pantherman

The interior version is going to take alot longer as alot of painting and decals to fit before I can start on the main build.
You have to build kind of tube with all the bit's separately, then fit it into the hull before you can connect the outer side's together. Pantherman

Got the hull interior primed and painted. Also started on the coning tower.
There are alot of mould ejection marks but most of these will be covered. I will have to dry fit the interior tube later just to make sure nothing is seen. Pantherman
