Bismarck 1/400 Papermodel

Some more really nice work Jim!! Such nice bends...especially on the rounded parts!! ;)

Thank you Todd.

Making cylinders and the shaping of card are are at the heart of this genre.

These are the optical tubes for the 2 rangefinders on the bridge deck.

Now that is some malicious wok there!! Thanks for sharing some of the process!! Gives a nice sense of scale as well!! Keep up the great work! ;)

Thank you Todd.

I hear people complain about PE, so I thought I would show this to show what we go through with this genre.

Beautifull work Jim. I'd love to try one of these paper models one day. You make it look easy, and I have no doubt that it isn't!!! Keep it coming.

Good evening all.
Was able to achieve a few things today.
Those 2 rangefinders are complete.

They have now been attached to the forecastle. It's always something when the smaller details start to show up on a model.

Also constructed and installed are the Forward Artillery Control Rm and the Admiral's Sea Cabin.

I am working on the 7m Rangefinder, that sits atop the artillery control rm. The turret for it is just sitting in place right now, not glued on.

I think that I am going to start the funnel next, as there are some crossover pieces to the forecastle, after the range finder is finished.

Thank you for following.
Questions and comments welcome.

Thank you Todd.
Making small tubes for some people seems to be a big issue.

Thank you for following Patrick.
I finished the 7m rangefinder tonight. Should have pics tomorrow.
