Well with the move closer to being done, I was able to do a bit more. Got the sides on, and caulked up the water area, some bottom details and the water pours......

My experience pouring resin is limited to one diorama. It stressed me out pouring it over a base I put alot of effort into. It came out good in the end.

I UNDERSTAND COMPLETELY, I've been putting it off and finally had no choice. I'm going to try and do one more thin layer, see if I can get a little wave action going........ maybe.

You can use modge podge or other acrylic medium to get texture on the "water".
