i love that youre drilling them all out...gunna look soo cool!!! but is right if you install that many LEDs it will be horribly bright. like SOOOOO bright and blinding. OR maybe you can sand with a super fine grit paper and dull them down. hmmm maybe!

Yeah I'm ganna work my magic on dulling the brightness down lol, might use very thin plasticard like I did with my falcon.

Or you can dim them with a large enough resistance. I have done that before.

Rock-On !! I say Light it up !! I'm interested in seeing how you do this. As one that's never built a Star Wars Piece ( *GASP * I've been preoccupied with th Armor ... It's Cool, with this Upcoming Falcon Build I'll bust Ma' Cherry) .... I'm interested to see how you light this one.

Yeah thanks guys, I'm so looking forward to Oct the 1st (but I'm not ganna rush this build!). After the awsomeness of the comp its time to get back to reality and do some modeling! Its been raining lately so apart from tidying up my pit of a work desk I'v been fiddling with some brass and greeblies:

I'v also been trying to get pics of the underside of the ship (mainly coloured panels), theres very little refrence out there! I even have the shadows of the empire 'making of' book, but all the pics are in black & white : So if any of you guys can help me out that would be awsome! These are the 2 pics I have:

Ha ha thanks Norm, I know what you mean it takes a while to get used to! But I pretty much like all the YT designs. Anyroad iv got a nice clean desk now and progress should be made soon!

Had a look around for some pics of the ventral hull, but to no avail. Just the ones you've already got.

You could try looking on youtube? There will be computer games with 3D models, but the textures are rarely adequate for your needs here.

I say wing-it! maybe just do it up just like the MF. Thats what i would do. Would be great next to your Fine Molds Falcon that way.

Yup thanks guys, I'll do what I can then make up the rest. I was playing with the lights again last night. Trying to dim them down isn't going to be that tricky but I forgot that there is a 'misty' clear resin part supplied that would bring down the 'hotness' of the light. So that's the way I'm going to go, just gotta wait for the posty to deliver my LED's and I'll take some snaps.
