old rusty Karl-Gerat LOKI ????? any interest !!

The ref book I am using is the Panzer tracts book from Thomas Jentz. There are a couple of pics in there of the LOKI when it was captured by the US forces. Two of the pics show the damage.

.the temptation was toooo strong and I glue some parts together. I thought I'd glue the barrel together so when it is dry I can sand the seems, well that led to gluing the breach together since I was waiting anyways. aargh...now I want to do more.

The barrel on this big boy is huge, check this out.. Next to the Grille.

I'm gonna pack this away before I end up building more of it.

She sure is Spud. The cradle is prob the size of a Tiger. I'm taking tonight off from the painting scene and will do a bit of prep work on the Karl. The breech seems still need to be sanded and textured as well as a quick fine sanding of the "barrel".
More a bit later.

That price is just the SPG. The one with the rail cars is almost twice that.

Yep I have the one with out the railcars. I thought about getting the one with rail cars, but man that is a lot of plastic to rust ;D

Interesting that the barrel inside the breach block is metal like that. Mine has a access panel that covers that side. I see You are going with the 54cm gun, cool.

Hey Texas, I haven't installed the breech block yet, it's a two part deal on the Trump kit. Dragon has just the outer plate for that area.

Some progress on the pea shooter tonight. Since the kit is intended to have the barrel in the in the block and not removed, the way I want to display it, I had to do some work on the block. The barrel goes threw the rear and out the front holes, and the block is hollow. So not having a tube large enough to go the entire length I made one from sheet plastic. Now when it's placed on the ground in the dio you won't see the hollow block and will look the part. You what I mean !!

I'll glue the rest of the main block parts together and that will be it for the Karl, until I have paint drying to do.

yeah, no pressure eh ;D ;D No building as of late, but lots of mental planning on this one. Been studying the ref pics to get an idea of the damage that needs to be done.
