HOWDIE All,

BUILD UPDATE:

For the last three day ive been painting up lots......well not that much tiny parts, about 12 hours of painting i got this

One thing im very proud of is the improvise "field grill", the bricks are left overs from a plus models set, the grill scourced from a scrap part of etch grill and finally the mess tins from a dragon Gen 2 set

P1100377.jpg

A milk urn from a tamiya set was also added

I wanted the MG34 to have an improvised cover over the barrel to stop ice from blocking the muzzle, so cut a section of tin foil to shape and wrapped it around the barrell and finaly adding a little detail by wrapping some twine to lock it in place

Wow very nice work there mate.

Question......did you say the dio is gonna be a deep winter scene? If so is the vehicle open topped? Does this mean you will be putting some snow inside the vehicle?

thanks very much Matt,

yes the scene will be indeed a winter scene, im either thinking of having the vehicle partially covered or not all, as im thinking of having it in an hostile environment so in my mind having the vehicle fully cover ould impede the manning of the guns in the event of a bug out. So that would mean putting a bit of snow and mud into the interior floor

Im also thinking of changing the scene slightly to more a action based theme of the small encampment standing, it would have some troops moving to weapons and taking up positions its just a thought may not use this idea, it just may work a tad bit better, as im unsure of my sculpting skills are up for the job

any thoughts would be nice

cheers
