Secret Santa Build Thread

Thanks Q. I like the camouflage on this one, but after applying most of the decals I think camouflage would have been moot.

Detail painting still isn't done, then a little weathering, final assembly and rigging. Should have this all done in the next couple weeks; the build is really going to slow down for me however - I'm back at work tomorrow.

I was so excited and inspired when I received my Secret Santa gift that I just have to do it justice. I've bought some accessories for it and am going to do a little more than OOB.

So far here is what has arrived
A few tracks to put together.

And I needed something to sit it on when completed so......

I also picked up the anti reflective lenses for this too.

Just waiting on the replacement barrel at this point.

Finished with all the body work. Just have to turn these piles into the add-ons, and then..., add them on.

And then it's on to the tracks

Track parts: Only took me 70 minutes to separate all these from the sprue. Each 1/2 of the treads need cleaned up too. If I did the math correctly, that's 483,028 parts that need tidied up and then assembled.

Assembly tomorrow.

PE is maddening...and addicting at he same time! I'm going out to Ft Hood Monday and will take some close ups of the actual tracks...wonder what they really look like up close...

I'm watching this build closely 'cause I know you'll nail it!

About 30 mins to get this far..., it's going quicker now though. Averaging about 2.5 mins per track link, that includes cleaning up all the shoes.
