Enjoyed the update Jim! Couple questions for ya...I see some silver on the SOS. What did you put on it? Also, the colour on the belly of your MKII looks great. What did you use for that one? Thanks JIM!

As far as the SoS goes would you believe Krylon Matte Aluminum? It makes a great primer. Just warm up the can so it goes on thin. It makes all the little defects pop right out. It's an old timers trick. ;)

The Mk.II is painted in PollyScale paints. The bottom being Sky Type S of course. Too bad they are no longer available. I'm on my last bottle of these three colors. :(

Nice work with the prop, there, on the Mk1-mk2 conversion
Corsair's looking really nice

That looks great!!

I am new to this site and already posted one of my current projects, but I want to add a second page to it.

Can you help me figure it out???

Thanks guys. This is all his work. All I did was thin the paint and load the airbrush. "Q" he used your electrical tape masking method.

That's a happy, proud face with a very cool build. Well done Malachi.

Great painting on that bird SA, and a congratulations on a great finish to that ship to your little mate.

So I just need to finish some detail painting on the Mk.II, then gloss coat, then decals, then glosscoat, then wash/weathering, then flat coat, then final assembly. Almost done.

Now to the important stuff. Malachi is pretty excited and wanted to make sure we got the final shot of his build posted.

This is all him. I did remove some parts from the sprues with him when he started. All I did was cut them off, no clean up from me. I showed him how to determine what to masks and what colors he needed but he did the masking and painting. I did thin the paint and load the airbrush for him. He took care of the decals too. The paint and decal process was especially fun for me to watch. I got to think back to my childhood and how little I cared about placement. It didn't really matter if everything was in its right place as long as it was on there did it? ;D

And yep, we're all playing hookey and going to see "Sentimental Journey" and "Maid in the Shade" on Friday! 8)
