Desslok's Command Cruiser....

Looking great. On my phone here, can't even tell that part was broke. Good job on the repair.

Thanks all! I will get more paint on her later tonight.

I will be happy to have her done!

Those little antennas look so fragile. Very nice repair job with them, Grendels. Looks great!

So, this is Desslok? What a nutter!

Poor Desslok

Great work on this! I loved Starblazers when I was young and watching you build this has now given me the desire to build a Yamato. Albeit it'll be awhile until I can finish other kits, I have now found another series to pursue building. Thanks for the inspiration. Build looks awesome and thanks for the great info on everything as well.

Yep that is the nutter! At the end of season 3, believe it or not, he is the good guy!

Thanks! This build was practice for my own Yamato build. I have the new release 1/500 ship.

I still want to see the live action movie "Space Batteship Yamato" but it's very hard to find...up here in the back-country. :)

I got a copy off of Ebay for I think $30 on blu ray. You can get the DVD for a lot less.

And now we know the secret to Grendel's healthy skin. Spiderman bubble bath!! ;D

That was some nice repair work on that part. Looked very tricky.

Watching you with that new airbrush was interesting. I really must replace my compressor. It gets nowhere near that pressure.

Is Mr Orange squid head.... ..... .... Dead??!!!

Thanks Igard,

Spiderman bubble bath is great stuff!

Mr. Squid head is not quite dead, just in a coma....

Great build!

Didn't the Gamelons used to cheer Desslok's name as he entered the throne room or whatever the heck it was? I remember hearing it as "Dessss-lok, Desslok, Desslok! Dessss-lok, Desslok, Desslok!"

Grennndels, Grendels, Grendels! Grennndels, Grendels, Grendels! ;D

OK I'm hooked now. You know I love the sound effects and the music. That's something I really remember about this.

I had the movie on video when I was a kid. And I mean when I was very little. It seems that these pictures and sounds are seared in to my memory.

I really have to watch this stuff.

Well maybe after I get through all the classic Dr Who! ;D

Then I'll think about building some of the ships.

i noticed that when you were using the Valleijo air color you did not need to mix it with thinner. Are these paints pre mixed for airbrusing?

Hummm.....I will have to see if I can get that Chant recorded.

I just got through watching them when I started this build. It in part was the inspiration for this kit. Also, I have quite a few of them in the stash and I wanted to see how one of them built up.

I have the model air paints. They are pre-thinned for the airbrush. I wanted to use something simple for my first run with them.
